Iris domestica, also known as Blackberry Lily or Leopard Lily, is a rhizomatous perennial in the iris family with sword-shapred, fan-like foliage. It features 2-inch wide, star-shaped orange-yellow flowers with red spots, resembling lilies but lasting only a day. After blooming, pear-shaped pods split open to reveal shiny black seeds in clusters that look like blackberries, providing unique winter interest. The plant prefers well-drained soil, full sun to partial shade, and can grow 2-3 feet tall.
