The 'Magyar' Ginkgo biloba is a male, upright and narrow (fastigiate) cultivar known for its glossy green, fan-shaped leaves that provide a brilliant golden-yellow color in the fall. This slow-growing, pest-resistant tree is tolerant of urban conditions and salt, making it an excellent choice for streetscapes, small gardens, and parks where a formal vertical accent is desired. It does not produce fruit, and its naturally formal shape does not require significant pruning.
