________
The image is a vintage postcard featuring the Milwaukee Central Library and Museum building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The building, designed in the Beaux-Arts style by architects Ferry and Clas, opened in 1898 and is Wisconsin's largest public library.
It was designed with a U-shape to provide a common entrance but keep the library and museum facilities separate.
The Milwaukee Public Museum shared this building until it moved to its own location in the 1960s.
The postcard was published by the V. O. Hammon Pub. Co. in Chicago.
