This is a vintage postcard of the Custis-Lee Mansion, officially known as Arlington House, The Robert E. Lee Memorial.

The mansion is located in Arlington, Virginia, overlooking Washington, D.C., from across the Potomac River.
It was constructed between 1802 and 1818 in the Greek Revival architectural style.
The house was built by George Washington Parke Custis as a memorial to his adoptive grandfather, George Washington.
It later became the pre-Civil War residence of Confederate general Robert E. Lee.
