This vintage postcard depicts a beach scene in front of the Ambassador Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The Ambassador Hotel was built at a cost of \$7.5 million and opened in 1919.
It was designed by the architectural firm Warren & Wetmore.
During its heyday, the hotel housed the Paul Whiteman orchestra, which included early performances by Bing Crosby.
The hotel was later purchased by Ramada in 1978 and eventually stripped down to its steel frame to be rebuilt as the Tropicana Casino & Resort.
