The church was established in 1856, with the building expanded in 1875.
It was a significant landmark in Atlantic City for over 150 years.
Due to a declining congregation, the building was later used by the Victory Deliverance Church.
In May 2025, the building was scheduled for demolition to make way for a dispensary.
The sandstone from the church is being salvaged to help restore the Smithsonian's Castle in Washington D.C.
