The image is a vintage postcard featuring the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Boardwalk and Beach, Atlantic City, N. J.
The hotel, located at 199 S. Iowa Avenue, opened on June 21, 1921, and was the tallest building in Atlantic City at the time.
It was renowned for its luxurious decor and famous guests, including U.S. Presidents and celebrities.
Amenities included both fresh and salt water faucets in every guest room, pantries on each floor for quick room service, and an on-site artesian well for spring water.
The building was converted into an apartment hotel in 1969 and later became The Ritz Condominiums in 1982.
