This vintage postcard shows the entrance building for the Ausable Chasm, a popular natural attraction in upstate New York.

Located at 2144 US-9, Ausable Chasm, NY, it is known for its breathtaking views, towering cliffs, roaring waterfalls, and scenic forest trails.
It officially opened to the public in 1870, making it one of the oldest tourist attractions in North America.
Visitors can hike up to 5 miles of trails, cross cable bridges, or take a float tour (rafting or tubing) down the Ausable River.
The chasm reaches depths of up to 150 feet in some places.
