The image shows the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, a historic house museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
This National Historic Landmark was the home and business of Mary Pickersgill, who, in 1813, sewed the large garrison flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812.
It was the sight of this flag flying after a night of British bombardment that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem that became the U.S. national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner".
The house was built in 1793 and is located at 844 East Pratt Street.
The property was purchased by the city of Baltimore in 1927 and established as a museum.
