The image is a vintage postcard of the Tyrrell Historical Library in Beaumont, Texas.
The building was originally constructed in 1903 as the First Baptist Church.
It is an example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture.
Captain W.C. Tyrrell purchased the vacant building in 1923 and donated it to the City of Beaumont for use as a public library, which opened in 1926.
Since 1974, it has served as a research library focusing on Texas history and genealogy.
