_________

This is a vintage postcard depicting The Hotel Essex and the Main Entrance Terminal Station (South Station) in Boston, Massachusetts.
The hotel was a Beaux Arts/Renaissance Revival style building completed in 1900, designed by architect Arthur H. Bowditch.
It was located directly opposite South Station, which opened in 1899, providing convenient accommodation for visitors arriving by train.
The postcard has a linen texture and is a collectible item from the "White Border era," likely produced between 1915 and 1930.
The original Hotel Essex building was eventually demolished in the 1980s.
