This is a vintage postcard of the original Museum of Fine Arts building in Boston, Massachusetts, issued by the National Art Views Co.
The postcard features a picture of the museum's first purpose-built home in Copley Square, which was designed in 1870 and built between 1871 and 1876.
The building was notable as the first public building in the United States to use terracotta in its construction.
It was demolished in 1909 to make way for the Copley Plaza Hotel.
The postcard includes a handwritten note dated 9/2/03 (September 2, 1903) from "Walter".
