An annual cool-season vegetable part of the Brassicaceae family along with Cabbage and Cauliflower. This variety resists purpling in cold weather and is well-suited to early spring and fall crops. Each plant produces a finely-beaded large central head with some side shoots. The plant reaches 16-20" tall and 10-12" wide in gardens, raised beds, or containers. Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamin C, keeps for a week in the refrigerator, and freezes well for up to a year. This variety is particularly flavorful and offers good crown cut broccoli.
