The image shows the exterior of the former NBC Color Television Studios in Burbank, California, pictured at dusk or night. Now known simply as The Burbank Studios, the facility was a hub for television production.
The studio, located on West Alameda Avenue in Burbank, was nicknamed "NBC Color City" and was exclusively equipped for color broadcasting.
Construction crews were working on the building in October 1954, and it became operational shortly after, changing the future of television.
It served as the home for many iconic shows, most notably The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson from 1972 to 1992.
NBC has since moved its West Coast operations to the nearby Universal Studios lot.
