Parodia magnifica Cactus has a green, globose to cylindrical, usually solitary stem. The stem has 11 to 15 sharp ribs lined with golden, bristly spines and grows up to 8 inches tall and up to 6 inches in diameter. As it grows, it takes on a bluer tone and can sometimes offset and form a cluster. Flowers are shiny yellow, up to 2.2 inches long with a diameter equal to the length, and appear in summer. ________
