The image is a vintage postcard of the Longfellow House in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is now a National Historic Site.
The house was built in 1759 for a wealthy plantation owner, John Vassall Jr., who later fled during the Revolutionary War.
From 1775 to 1776, the house served as General George Washington's headquarters during the Siege of Boston.
Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow moved into the house in 1837 and lived there for 45 years, writing many of his famous works.
The postcard was published by the Souvenir Post Card Co. in New York and is likely an "Undivided Back" type, dating it to between 1901 and 1907.
