Central City CO Colorado Opera House Chrome Postcard Unused

This is a vintage postcard featuring the Historic Opera House in Central City, Colorado, a National Historic Landmark.
The building was constructed by Welsh and Cornish miners in 1878 and is known for a creek that flows through a flume underneath to keep it cool.
It fell into disrepair in the early 1900s but was revived in the 1930s by a group of Denver music lovers.
It is the home of the Central City Opera, the fifth-oldest opera company in the United States.
The opera house is part of the Colorado Historic Opera Houses Circuit.
