Dover is the capital of Delaware and the county seat of Kent County.
The city was founded in 1683 by William Penn, but its street plot was not laid out until 1717.
It became the state capital in 1777, moving from New Castle.
The area shown includes the historic Green and several sites that are part of the First State Heritage Park, such as the Old State House.
