The building is located at 104 E Main St, Lancaster, OH.
It was built in 1897 in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, featuring rough-faced, locally quarried stone and a prominent tall square tower with a clock.
The current building replaced the first city hall structure, which was built in 1860 and later torn down.
Renovations for the historic city hall, including the clock, bell, tower, and roof, were planned for 2025.
