This image is a vintage postcard of the World Famous Tree House, a historic roadside attraction in Piercy, California.

The attraction is a room measuring 21 feet by 27 feet and 50 feet high, built inside a giant redwood tree.
The tree was originally hollowed out by a lightning-strike fire over 300 years ago and is estimated to be over 3,000 years old, yet it is still living and growing vigorously.
It was originally known as the Fraternal Monarch or Quadruped Tree and became a popular tourist stop after the Redwood Highway was completed in the 1920s.
The attraction was proclaimed the "World's Tallest Home" in a Ripley's Believe It or Not cartoon, leading to its current name and the prominent sign in the image.
