This is a vintage linen postcard depicting the Home of Robert Louis Stevenson in Monterey, California.
The building, also known as the French Hotel, was a boarding house where the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson lived in 1879.
It is a historic two-story Spanish Colonial style building located at 530 Houston Street in Monterey.
Today, the building is a museum and part of the Monterey State Historic Park, showcasing antique furniture and some of Stevenson's personal possessions.
The postcard was published by Curt Teich & Co. and has the production number 4A-H87.
