____________

This image captures the Ryman Auditorium, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry, likely in the 1960s or early 1970s.

The building was originally constructed as the Union Gospel Tabernacle in 1892 and renamed in 1904 in honor of its founder, Thomas Ryman.
It is known as the "Mother Church of Country Music" and is located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
The Grand Ole Opry broadcast its weekly program from the Ryman from 1943 to 1974, a period often called the "Golden Age of Country Music".
After the Opry moved to a new theater, the Ryman faced potential demolition but was eventually declared a National Historic Landmark in 2001 and reopened as a premier performance hall and museum in 1994.
The Gothic-revival structure has remained largely unchanged architecturally, maintaining its original pews and wooden floors.
