______
the Tennessee State Capitol building in Nashville, Tennessee.
The building is the seat of government for Tennessee and houses both the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as the governor's office.
It was designed by architect William Strickland in the Greek Revival style and was completed in 1859.
The structure is a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark due to its innovative use of monolithic cut stone and structural iron to make it fire-proof.
The limestone used for both the interior and exterior was sourced from a quarry located about a mile from the building site.
