Stanton Hall, also known as Belfast, is an Antebellum Classical Revival mansion built between 1851-1857 for Frederick Stanton, a wealthy cotton broker.
It occupies an entire city block in downtown Natchez and is considered one of the most magnificent and palatial Greek Revival homes in America.
The mansion stands five stories tall and was originally 14,000 square feet.
The building was designated a National Historic Landmark on May 30, 1974.
Today, the house is owned and maintained by the Pilgrimage Garden Club and is operated as a historic house museum.
