This vintage postcard depicts the Three Churches on the Green in New Haven, Connecticut.
The churches are Center Church, Trinity Church, and United Church, erected on the east side of the New Haven Green between 1812 and 1816.
The New Haven Green, a National Historic Landmark, was laid out in 1638 as one of the oldest in New England.
Center Church and United Church are fine examples of the Federal Style of architecture.
Trinity Church is one of the first large Gothic Revival buildings in America.
A colonial graveyard lies beneath the Center Church, with the oldest marked gravestone dating back to the 1680s.
