The image is a vintage postcard featuring the Crescent City Connection (formerly the Greater New Orleans Bridge) in New Orleans, Louisiana. The photo appears to have been taken in the late 1950s or 1960s, shortly after the first span opened.
The first span of the bridge, originally named the Greater New Orleans Bridge, was completed and opened to traffic on April 15, 1958.
At the time, it was officially the longest cantilever highway bridge in the world.
The second, twin span was added later, opening in 1988.
The bridge crosses the Mississippi River, connecting the east and west banks of the city.
