The image is a vintage postcard featuring the Whirlpool Aero Car over the Niagara River.

The cable car, also known as the Spanish Aero Car, was designed by Spanish engineer Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in operation since 1916.
It is suspended from six sturdy cables, offering views of the Niagara Whirlpool and the Class 6 whitewater rapids below.
The car travels between two points on the Canadian shore of the river.
The Niagara Whirlpool is formed where the narrow Niagara Gorge makes an abrupt counterclockwise turn.
