This is a vintage postcard image of the paper mills at Willamette Falls in Oregon City/West Linn, Oregon.
The mills shown were major industrial operations on both sides of the Willamette River.
The mill on the left (west bank) was originally the Willamette Pulp & Paper Company, which opened in 1889.
The mill on the right (east bank) was the site of the Blue Heron Paper Mill, which operated until it closed in 2011.
Willamette Falls is the largest waterfall in the Pacific Northwest and has been a significant industrial site since the late 19th century.
