The site is a preserved 19th-century village that includes the birthplace and boyhood home of the 30th U.S. President, Calvin Coolidge.
It was in the family homestead that Coolidge was inaugurated as president in the early morning hours of August 3, 1923, after the death of President Warren G. Harding.
The village has been preserved as a "time capsule" and includes the homestead, barns, a general store, a church, a schoolhouse, and a working cheese factory, among other buildings.
The historic site is open to the public seasonally, typically from late May to mid-October.
