The image is a postcard featuring the Rosalie Mansion, a historic pre-Civil War mansion located in Natchez, Mississippi.
Built in 1823, it is an outstanding example of Federal-era architecture and served as a major influence on subsequent Greek Revival homes in the region.
During the Civil War, the mansion served as the Union Army headquarters for the Natchez area from July 1863 onward.
The home and its original furnishings were protected during the war and remained intact.
It is currently owned and operated by the Mississippi State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and is a National Historic Landmark
