______________

The image is a postcard of Stanton Hall, a historic Greek Revival mansion in Natchez, Mississippi. Built between 1851 and 1857 for wealthy cotton broker Frederick Stanton, it is one of the most magnificent and photographed homes in the United States.
Stanton Hall is known for its grand scale, covering an entire city block.
The mansion was designed to replicate Stanton's ancestral home in Ireland and was originally named "Belfast".
It features Corinthian columns, delicate cast-iron railings, and imported marble mantles and mirrors.
The Pilgrimage Garden Club purchased the home in 1938 and operates it as a house museum
