The image is a vintage postcard of the Mercantile National Bank Building in Dallas, Texas.
The building, known colloquially as "The Merc," is a 31-story, 159.4-meter (523 ft) skyscraper located at 1800 Main Street in downtown Dallas.
It was the former home of the Mercantile National Bank.
The architect for the building was Walter W. Ahlschlager, whose name is visible at the bottom of the postcard.
The construction of the building was a significant investment and expression of faith in Dallas as a primary city of the Southwest.
