This image is a vintage postcard depicting the north entrance and gatehouse of Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, New York, dated May 13, 1909.
The cemetery, dedicated in 1838, is America's first municipal Victorian cemetery.
The gatehouse shown in the image was built in 1874-75 by architect A.J. Warner in the Victorian Gothic style.
It is the final resting place of several notable figures, including abolitionist Frederick Douglass and women's suffrage leader Susan B. Anthony.
The 196-acre cemetery is known for its picturesque natural setting, built on a glacial moraine with unique land formations.
