__________

The image shows the Old Dowlin Mill in Ruidoso, New Mexico, which was built in 1868 by Captain Paul Dowlin and his brother, Will.

The village of Ruidoso was originally named "Dowlin's Mill" in its early days.
The mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
The mill was a significant part of the region's history, though it became idle for many years after the 1930s when attempts to operate it as a historic landmark only resulted in the wheel turning, without grinding grain.
The historic building was unfortunately destroyed by a fire in December 2016, and a full restoration was not foreseen.
