This image is a postcard of the historic Briarcliff Lodge, which also operated as Stoneleigh College and a Franciscan retreat.
The Tudor Revival-style building was originally a luxury resort hotel built in 1919 in Briarcliff Manor, New York.
It was one of the largest resort hotels in the world at the time of its opening, attracting celebrities and elites such as Babe Ruth and the Roosevelts.
During the Great Depression, it failed as a hotel and was sold, reopening as Stoneleigh College, a women's junior college and preparatory school.
The property was later used by The King's College.
The building burned down in 2003, and its remains were demolished in 2004.
