The image is a vintage postcard of the entrance to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Baltimore, Maryland.

The fort is best known for its role in the War of 1812, where it successfully defended Baltimore Harbor from a British naval attack.
The American victory at the fort inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem "The Defence of Fort McHenry," which later became the lyrics for the U.S. national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner".
It is the only site in the U.S. National Park Service system to be designated as both a National Monument and a Historic Shrine.
The fort is a pentagonal bastion fort located on Locust Point.
