San Diego CA California Point Loma Homestead Raja Yoga Academy 1922 Postcard

This is a vintage postcard image of the entrance to the Theosophical Homestead, also known as Lomaland, in Point Loma, San Diego, California.
The community and its Raja Yoga Academy were established in 1897 by Theosophical leader Katherine Tingley.
It served as the international headquarters for the Universal Brotherhood and Theosophical Society.
The site, which operated as a utopian community and educational center until 1942, is now the location of Point Loma Nazarene University.
The postcard was created by the Cardinell-Vincent Co. and issued around 1917.
