The image is of a vintage postcard depicting Mrs. K's Toll House in Silver Spring, Maryland, a historic building that operated as a restaurant for 90 years.
The building began as a toll house on the Washington, D.C. to Ashton, Maryland, turnpike in the mid-1800s.
It was purchased by Blanche and Harvey Kreuzberg in 1929 and opened as Mrs. K's Toll House Tavern on April 1, 1930.
The restaurant was a long-standing fixture in the area, known for its charm and extensive wine list.
It permanently closed in December 2020 due to the pandemic.
The building has since been repurposed and is now known as Zinnia.
