The image shows a vintage postcard of the St. Louis Public Library Central Library building in Missouri.
The building is located at 1301 Olive Street in downtown St. Louis and was designed by architect Cass Gilbert.
Construction began in 1907 and the library was completed in 1912.
It was built in an Italian Renaissance style using Maine granite and features Beaux-Arts and Neo-Classical architectural elements.
The project was funded in part by a donation from Andrew Carnegie.
