This is a vintage postcard featuring the Smithsonian Institution Building, also known as the Smithsonian Castle.

The building, located in Washington, D.C., was designed by architect James Renwick, Jr. and completed in 1855.
It is the first and oldest building of the Smithsonian Institution and currently houses its administrative offices and an information center.
