The image is a vintage postcard of Union Station in Washington, D.C.
The station opened in 1907 and was designed by architect Daniel H. Burnham.
It serves as a major transportation hub for Amtrak, commuter rail services (MARC and VRE), and the DC Metro system.
At the time of its completion, it was considered one of the finest railway terminals in the world.
It is located just five blocks from the U.S. Capitol building.
